The 488 Challenge is the most powerful in the history of the Challenge thanks to the 670 hp of the 3.9-liter V8 derived from the engine of the 488 GTB, winner of the International Engine of the Year Award in 2016. The 488 Challenge has a very sophisticated bodywork. Every millimeter has been designed to keep it on the ground while the power of its 670 hp make it fly on the track. Among the improvements achieved, we count a reduction in overall weight, a specific mapping of the engine, optimized for racing performance, and the F1 DCT then has a new gearbox strategy that allows acceleration from standstill up to the maximum speed in fourth gear in only six seconds.
